We are the World Hearing Forum

We are a global network of stakeholders promoting ear and hearing care worldwide. Our members are committed to supporting the implementation of World Health Assembly resolution WHA70.13 on “Prevention of deafness and hearing loss” and helping Member States take meaningful action in this area.

More than 430 million people require rehabilitation to address hearing loss, including 34 million children. In addition, over 1 billion young people are at risk of hearing loss due to exposure to noise in recreational settings and through personal audio devices. Without action to prevent and treat hearing loss, these numbers are expected to rise considerably in the coming decades.

We bring a shared vision to advocacy and collaboration in ear and hearing care. Through networking and the exchange of knowledge, skills, and field experience, we galvanize action towards a world where no person experiences hearing loss due to preventable causes, and where people with hearing loss can achieve their full potential through early identification and appropriate care.
